This page is devoted to giving you resources to use during your worship and devotions at home this week. God in His word calls us to sing together (Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:19), read God’s word together (1 Timothy 4:13), pray together (James 5:16) and to sit under the preaching of God’s word (2 Timothy 4:2). These are meant to aid you in reading God’s Word, praying and singing in your home, as you prepare to hear God’s Word preached this Sunday morning.
Here are some thoughts on how to approach worshipping in your home this week:
• As you’re able, set aside a consistent time each day.
• Minimize distractions. Turn off your phone. Quiet your home setting and your soul.
• For those with small children, organize a time as best for their attention and engagement. Read a storybook Bible or act out/dramatize the Gospel narrative. Ask questions at their level.
• Remember: This is a means of grace. This is a time to know and follow Jesus, not a time to pile on pressure and force everything to go just right. Start small and let the Lord do the work among you!
